Should they activate improperly on assent -> launch failure. That software will be in control of mission-destroying hardware, namely launch-abort rockets to pull the capsule away. Adding the software, or at least keeping it active during launch, presents new failure options. But at least they will surely add some piece of software that will drive away the dragon capsule from the debris field and use the parachute to rescue at least the payload.īy the way, does anybody know when the next launch is due? You watch them with a bit of pain, because you know how much work just blew up. If you're an engineer yourself things like this aren't funny.
